Mr Farah is a caring consultant and an expert in his field. He is extremely accommodating and agreed to see me at short notice on occasions when I was in extreme pain. His admin skills and communication with my GP was extremely efficient in terms of providing written information in a timely fashion. He treated me with kindness and courtesy at all times.

I had MRI guided ultrasound thalamotomy, left side brain, right hand, performed in July 2023 at the Walton Centre, Liverpool, under the care of Mr Farah. Results were an almost immediate improvement of the tremor on my right side to around 95%. The remaining tremor is almost imperceptible. Mr Farah and his team gave the standard of care I expected, and the nursing staff, anaesthesiologist, OT, radiography were exceptionally professional and the care was second to none. From referral through out patient appointments and treatment, Mr Farah has provided exceptional care for this condition, which I never believed would happen, and it has made a huge difference to my life. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Farah and his team to anyone requiring this neurological treatment in particular.

I was under Mr Farah's care for the MRgFUS procedure which was a complete success. He was very kind and encouraging as the treatment was difficult at times. I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism and compassion.

I first saw Mr Farah privately at Murrayfield after an MRI scan showed a spinal problem to be the cause of the pain in my legs which had returned since undergoing spinal decompression surgery at Walton 4 years ago under a different surgeon who has since retired. Mr Farah subsequently arranged for my transfer onto his NHS list at Walton where I saw him for a second time. He explained in detail the radical surgical procedure which might resolve the issue but after taking into consideration my very active lifestyle and lifelong love of sport, advised that in his opinion the risk of the surgery failing and leaving me completely unable to pursue any such activity was not worth taking. I am grateful for his insight into what makes me tick as a person and for seeing the bigger picture. He suggested other ways in which my pain might be managed until the day comes (if indeed it does) when my quality of life has deteriorated sufficiently to render surgery a chance worth taking. In the meantime he has provided direct contact details should I feel the need to get in touch. I am most grateful for his empathetic and holistic approach to my situation. Thank you.
